Established in 1967, Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) operates a 46-station radio network serving nearly all of Minnesota and parts of surrounding states. Reaching more than 1 million listeners each week, MPR and its three regional services, MPR News, YourClassical MPR and The Current, produce content for radio, digital and live audiences. Programs from MPR's national division, American Public Media (APM), reach more than 21 million listeners via 1,000 radio stations nationwide each week. APM is one of the largest producers and distributors of public radio programming in the world, with a portfolio that includes BBC World Service, Marketplace, and the leading classical music programming in the nation. APM also offers a diverse array of podcasts featuring the best in food, culture, entertainment, business, and investigative journalism.
This is a pivotal and exciting time in the history of MPR/APM, which has embarked on a multi-year, volunteer-led, comprehensive campaign focused on building the future of public media - one that strengthens local communities, engages audiences across platforms, promotes civic life and a rich culture in every corner of our region. We are a collaborative fundraising team, working across the Development Division and in partnership with MPR/APM departments to meet revenue goals and fund essential programming.
Expected Compensation Range: $78,000 -$85,000 USD annualized. Exact rate determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Position Summary:
As Individual Giving Manager, you will work collaboratively with MPR’s Philanthropic Development and Membership teams to drive positive member experiences and grow revenue from Leadership Circle households giving $1200-9,999 annually. Success in the role depends on your ability to engage a portfolio of 600 households. Essential activities include constructively responding to Leadership Circle inquiries, effectively incorporating CRM systems into your daily work, and working in partnership with other departments to conduct renewal, communications, and stewardship activities.

Position Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of 600 Leadership Circle (LC) members giving $1,200-9,999 annually.
* Develop and implement communication, stewardship, and engagement strategies that grow revenue, meet annual goals, and move donors up the ladder to President’s Circle.
* Cultivate donor relationships in person, over the phone, via email and direct mail.
* Work closely with Major and Midlevel Giving team members to coordinate strategic efforts and create a seamless experience for new, existing, and prospective LC members.
* Serve as primary contact for new $1,200-9,999 donors, fielding inquiries related to giving, benefits, events, acknowledgments, etc.
* Make timely thank you calls to donors at this important giving level.
* Collaborate with Development Initiatives, Membership, and other teams to recommend donor stewardship that meets LC member needs.
* Actively contribute to Membership drives and events as a key member of the fundraising team.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in non-profit fundraising or related fields: political fundraising, advocacy, direct sales, etc.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
* Experience with and solid understanding of Salesforce or other CRM system.
* Fluency in MS Office Suite and SharePoint: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, etc.
* Demonstrated experience in contacting donors and/or customer service.
* Proven ability to build effective professional relationships.
* Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of the Development and Membership teams across Minnesota Public Radio.
* Skilled at building and maintaining relationships, including an aptitude for engaging and motivating donors and prospects, while achieving bottom-line results.
* Enthusiastic and determined fundraiser with a record of meeting / exceeding revenue targets.
* Experience working with diverse communities.
* Demonstrated creativity, adaptability, and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic environment.
* Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
* Demonstrated success working within cross-functional teams.
* Integrity to maintain a high degree of confidentiality in an information-rich environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience with media or cultural organization.
* Strong interest in public media and its case for support.
* Demonstrated cultural competence and experience with supporting the development of diverse, inclusive and equitable work environments, including a true commitment to and appreciation for this vital work.
* Persuasive, strategic, and effective communicator; able to convey the mission compellingly.
