Marshfield Medical Center – Weston is seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Wausau/Weston, Wisconsin. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
In this role, you will be joining an experienced Oncology team. You will see patients at both Weston and Stevens Point Centers. Call rotation will be one weekend and two weekdays each month. New graduates welcome!
Marshfield Medical Center – Minocqua is seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Minocqua, Wisconsin. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin.
This Nurse Practitioner would see follow-up hematology/oncology patients who receive chemotherapy as well as immunotherapy. No consults.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
EXPERIENCE
Preferred/Optional: One to three years’ nursing experience in specialty.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Current Applicable State Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Licensure. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
