HealthAlliance Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), has an excellent opportunity for a neurohospitalist in our Kingston, NY, location. The Department of Neurology is seeking a BC/BE neurologist to join a rapidly growing multiple physician neurology department at HealthAlliance, which consists of an inpatient stroke neurologist, three outpatient neurologists, and a growing team of physician assistants. The practice is looking for a neurohospitalist due to continued growth and an increase in demand. Teleneurology, telestroke and eICU provide support for acute neurologic needs.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Applicants must have an MD (or equivalent) degree and must be board certified/board eligible in neurology by the date of hire
Qualified to obtain a New York State license
Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated clinical skills in neurology, including inpatient and outpatient care.
Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
Inpatient consultation at HealthAlliance Hospital and collaboration clinically in the Northern region of the Network
Integral role in expanding inpatient and outpatient neurology services
Practice at a DNV-Certified Primary Stroke Center with after-hours tele-stroke support
Opportunity to practice within a Comprehensive Stroke Center Network
Membership in the growing WMC Department of Neurology
Involvement in clinical care, teaching, research and programmatic development at WMCHealth and NYMC
New grads or experienced candidates welcome

Must have the ability to travel occasionally for work, meetings, training, and company events. Must possess a valid driver's license and the willingness to occasionally commute to partner organizations within 90 miles of the Valhalla, NY, corporate office.
