Lutheran Life Communities is seeking a strategic, innovative, and mission-driven leader to serve as President of Lutheran Home, located in Arlington Heights, IL, just northwest of Chicago. This is a pivotal moment in the organization’s history, offering the incoming President a unique opportunity to shape the future of a highly respected senior living community.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Lutheran Life Communities, the President will oversee the entire Lutheran Home campus, which includes multiple multi-story buildings housing 376 skilled nursing and long-term care beds, 100 assisted living apartments, and both adult and child daycare programs. The President will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan focused on census growth, revenue enhancement, quality improvement, and stakeholder engagement. This role calls for a visionary and results-oriented executive who is energized by mission and committed to delivering exceptional financial and operational performance. The President will be a visible and inspiring leader, capable of fostering innovation while maintaining Lutheran Home’s legacy of whole-person care and community trust.

The ideal candidate for the President role will exhibit a strong commitment to the mission with proven relationship-building skills, operating excellence and financial acumen, coupled with a focus on servant leadership and the gravitas expected to lead such a complex organization into the future. Expertise and a proven track record of progressive leadership gained in a complex skilled nursing, rehabilitation and/or long-term care environment is required for the role. An undergraduate degree and a master's degree in business, healthcare or related discipline from an accredited institution are required, and the ability to become a licensed nursing home administrator in the State of Illinois is preferred for the role.
