SUMMARY: As a Dental Hygienist at SeniorDent, you will work closely with our geriatric population to provide top-notch care to individuals residing in nursing homes or long-term care facilities in the St Louis, MO area. We are seeking a traveling Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! Your expertise and compassion will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- 90-day probation from the first day of employment
- Greet our Nursing home patients with kindness
- Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient
- Remove plaque and calculus by scaling and polishing teeth
- Apply fluorides to help prevent tooth decay
- Use a range of different dental instruments and ensure that all instruments are sterilized and clean at the end of each session
- Follow Health and Safety guidelines in all aspects
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings
- Must have the ability to work independently and must possess a valid driver’s license
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Perform dental charting/notes and record patient information
- Ability to travel, 3 travel days with 1 Admin Day will be required
- Overnight stays will sometimes be required and is paid for by company

Requirements
Requirements:
3 years’ experience is required
State issued valid driver’s license is required
Valid RDH license is required
Minimum 21 years old
Must be willing to travel 3 days a week and able to lift 40 pounds
CPR certification or obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment
Knowledge of standard dental safety procedures
Knowledge of dental instruments and materials
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environment working independently
Strong organizational skills and communication skills
Ability to convey instructions clearly to patients
Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and administrative tasks.
