- Senior Director of Health Services
Description
The Senior Director of Health Services is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, coordination, and oversight of all health and social services within the retirement community. This includes managing and leading the delivery of integrated health and social support services. The Senior Director ensures that all services align with the community’s mission to provide high-quality, person-directed care. This role leads a multidisciplinary team of clinical and social service professionals, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and a culture of compassion and dignity for all residents.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing health policies, managing clinical operations, coordinating care plans, and fostering strong relationships with residents, families, team members, and external healthcare partners.
Requirements
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related healthcare field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience within healthcare or senior living environments, including at least five (5) years in a senior or director-level leadership role with full operational oversight.
- Current Assisted Living Manager Certification, in good standing, as required by state regulations.
- Demonstrated success in overseeing clinical operations within a multidisciplinary care environment, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality resident-centered services and exceptional resident experiences.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience ensuring compliance with Maryland regulatory requirements, including MD COMAR, the Maryland Department of Health Care Quality, and the Maryland Department of Aging.
