This is an on-campus position in Louisville, KY.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Process Improvement Specialist at Galen College of Nursing, you will support the operational functions of the Institution, including the development, implementation, and improvement of processes and procedures that facilitate operational optimization and elevate the student and staff experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and optimize operational procedures by streamlining work processes and removing unnecessary steps.
- Document, maintain, and publish institutional processes, process maps, and standard operating procedures in relation to operational activities.
- Manage and implement various projects, especially large-scale and enterprise-wide projects, using appropriate tools to track progress, deliverables, and implementation.
- Provide guidance and support to business partners and project participants throughout all project phases.
- Work in partnership with developers, system administrators, business analysts, quality assurance testing specialists, and project managers, as applicable, throughout all project phases.
- Establish and effectively communicate project expectations to contributors and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, business requirement documentations, and stakeholder presentations in support of assigned projects.
- Develop and communicate clear internal and external messaging, as appropriate, in support of process improvements throughout the project phases.
- Provide support to Process Improvement Specialists around the team’s internal processes across all project phases, including workload management, project management, and project phase deliverables.
- Mentor project leaders and participants throughout their pursuit of the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Earned bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
- Three (3) years of experience in higher education operations, project management, change management or process improvement.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including large-scale and enterprise-wide projects.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues across departments and at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
