Job Summary:

Under direction of the Manager, Clinical Applications is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and ongoing modification of Bartlett’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and its clinical systems. Educates physicians and clinical staff concerning the efficient use of the software to provide increased utilization of the software.
Collaborates across departments to integrate systems and data to enhance patient care and ensures the software supports the Hospital’s quality measures and outcomes.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications for the Job:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse professional nursing program.
  • preferred: BSN.
• Experience:
  • Five years recent clinical nursing experience that included interaction with Electronic Health Records as a clinical end user. Demonstrated proficiency in implementation and training of clinical workflows as it relates to an EHR.
  • Knowledge of hospital and clinical department operating policies and procedures requiring extensive interaction with physicians and clinicians.
  • preferred: Two years of experience with computer information systems, software applications, providing support to users or equivalent experience in data processing.
  • desired: Prior Meditech 6.x experience.
• Certification(s): State of Alaska Registered Nurse
  • preferred: Nursing Informatics certification or degree.
