MedStar Health is expanding its cancer service line throughout the Baltimore-Washington, DC region and is hiring an experienced Gynecologic Oncologist to join our MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center facility located in Baltimore, Maryland. You will work out of the of the MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute at Franklin Square Hospital with support of a nurse navigator and midlevel provider who will help with the management of a rewarding surgical practice and chemotherapy administration, if you desire. MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute at Franklin Square has membership in NRG for gynecologic oncology clinical trials and has access to additional cooperative group trials and industry sponsored trials with our affiliation with the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University Hospital. There is opportunity for a clinical appointment with Georgetown University School of Medicine as well as opportunity to teach Georgetown Medical Students. When you join MedStar Gynecologic Oncology you will be joining a collaborative network of nationally acclaimed physicians who meet routinely to discuss management of our patients in our weekly tumor board meetings. Our strong clinical partnership extends outside of gynecologic oncology to radiation oncology, surgical oncology, medical oncology, palliative care and other specialties and ancillary support housed in the institution. In this role, you will be responsible for consultations and treatment of women with gynecologic cancers including uterine, cervical, ovarian, vulva and vaginal cancers. You will have access to the DaVinci Xi, dedicated OR block time, and co-lead a busy ambulatory practice. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in tumor board, teach learners (medical students, residents, fellows), and hospital and system-wide service line committees and projects.
Requirements
Degree of MD or DO with subspecialty training and certification in Fellowship trained in Gynecologic Oncology
American Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology
