RHEUMATOLOGY NURSE PRACTITIONER
Salary Range: Minimum: $127,393 | Maximum: $145,943
The salary range or contractual rate listed is subject to applicable differentials for experience, shift, certification, or education.

The Division of Rheumatology a clinician with expertise in the comprehensive management of various acute and chronic health conditions to work at our community teaching hospital serving a culturally diverse population. In this collaborative role, you'll help with all aspects of high-quality, patient-centered care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations. Primary responsibilities:
- Obtain patient histories and perform comprehensive and targeted physical examinations
- Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement a treatment plan and prescribe medication
- Counsel and educate patients and their families on disease management
- Refer patients to other specialists and follow up for the continuity of care
Along with your ability to provide safe and effective care, you must have:
- Master's Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Preferably, 2+ years of solid Rheumatology experience
- Licensed to practice in New York State as an RN and NP
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current ACLS, BCLS, CIC and DEA certifications/registration
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with computer-based programs, including EMR and MS Office
