RHEUMATOLOGY NURSE PRACTITIONER

Salary Range: Minimum: $127,393 | Maximum: $145,943

The Division of Rheumatology a clinician with expertise in the comprehensive management of various acute and chronic health conditions to work at our community teaching hospital serving a culturally diverse population. In this collaborative role, you'll help with all aspects of high-quality, patient-centered care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations. Primary responsibilities:

• Obtain patient histories and perform comprehensive and targeted physical examinations
• Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement a treatment plan and prescribe medication
• Counsel and educate patients and their families on disease management
• Refer patients to other specialists and follow up for the continuity of care

 
Along with your ability to provide safe and effective care, you must have:

• Master's Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner
• Preferably, 2+ years of solid Rheumatology experience
• Licensed to practice in New York State as an RN and NP
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current ACLS, BCLS, CIC and DEA certifications/registration
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with computer-based programs, including EMR and MS Office
