Director, Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine- Valley Stream, NY

Northwell Health and the Department of Medicine is seeking a Director of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at LIJ Valley Stream Hospital in Long Island, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized division. The ideal candidate should be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Palliative Medicine, or both Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Medicine. Our interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers provide high quality clinical care to older adults and those with serious and advanced illnesses.

LIJ Valley Stream Hospital is a 284-bed, full-service community hospital caring for patients in Nassau County and southeastern Queens. We offer advanced treatments in a wide range of medical specialties including orthopedics, acute care, gastroenterology, general surgery, wound care and vascular surgery—along with a state-of-the-art emergency department. Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience, and productivity.
