Position Summary:
Neshoba County General Hospital is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic, operational, financial, and organizational leadership. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the CEO is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission of providing access to safe, high-quality healthcare while ensuring its long-term strength and sustainability.
The CEO will drive operational and financial performance, foster a culture of quality and accountability, and lead strategic growth through service-line development, physician and provider recruitment, partnerships, and expanded access to care.
Neshoba County General Hospital is a publicly owned, independent Critical Access Hospital providing inpatient, emergency, outpatient, ambulatory, surgical, post-acute, and long-term care services to Neshoba County and surrounding communities.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides executive leadership and oversight of operations, clinical services, financial performance, and strategic initiatives.
- Leads development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Trustees, medical staff, and leadership team.
- Drives financial and operational performance through effective budgeting, resource management, revenue enhancement, cost management, and performance improvement.
- Leads organizational growth through service-line development, physician and provider recruitment, strategic partnerships, market expansion, and increased access to care.
- Promotes high-quality, safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while ensuring regulatory and accreditation compliance.
- Establishes and monitors key performance indicators for finance, operations, quality, patient experience, workforce, and growth.
- Promotes physician alignment, clinical integration, and operational effectiveness in collaboration with medical staff and clinical leadership.
- Develops and supports the leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Builds strong relationships with the Board, medical staff, employees, community leaders, governmental agencies, business partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Evaluates healthcare trends, market conditions, reimbursement changes, and community needs to identify opportunities and risks.

Education and Experience Required:
Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or a related field and a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, hospital administration, or hospital operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
Executive leadership experience in a hospital or integrated healthcare organization.
Experience with Critical Access Hospitals, rural healthcare, physician recruitment, service-line development, and organizational growth.
