Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases
- Perform surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and corneal transplants
- Prescribe and manage medications for eye-related issues
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in ophthalmology through continuing education and research

Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency program in ophthalmology
- Board certification or eligibility for board certification in ophthalmology
- Valid medical license to practice as an ophthalmologist
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic systems, equipment, and procedures
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and assessments
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to ophthalmology
- Experience in conducting research, clinical trials, or working in a research laboratory (preferred)
- Ability to use electronic medical record systems (e.g., Modernizing Medicine)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages, including senior care
