About the Opportunity
Apex Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking a skilled, motivated, and patient-focused podiatrist to join our growing practice in Thousand Oaks, California.

Compensation
Competitive base salary of $180,000–$225,000, based on experience and qualifications
30%–40% production-based incentive compensation after reaching an established production threshold of approximately 1.5–2 times the earned base salary
$10,000–$20,000 retention bonus after successfully completing one year of employment
Significant long-term earning potential through practice growth, partnership, and potential ownership opportunities
Full compensation terms and production thresholds will be clearly defined in the employment agreement.

Qualifications
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from an accredited school of podiatric medicine
Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
Active California podiatric medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Strong clinical, surgical, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to excellent patient care and ethical practice
Motivated to grow professionally and contribute to the long-term success of the practice

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
Perform in-office and surgical procedures as indicated.
Manage wound care and diabetic limb preservation.
Interpret imaging and diagnostic studies (X-ray, labs, clinical findings).
Prescribe medications, orthotics, and therapy plans.
Educate patients on prevention, treatment options, and long-term care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and referring providers.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Participate in hospital rounding and provide call coverage on an alternating weekend schedule.
Core Skills
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making ability.
Knowledge of medical, legal, and ethical standards of care.
Ability to manage complex cases and develop treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (frequent lifting up to 25 lbs).
Manual dexterity for precise procedural work.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
